Correspondence and Postal Work

  • Telegrams - Send and reply to telegrams, choose postage stamp artwork, and receive unread-mail alerts.

  • Shared Mailboxes - Players can open organisation boxes and invite clerks with separate reply and management permissions.

  • Registered Mail - Request explicit acknowledgments, review receipts, and mark shared correspondence handled.

  • Postal Work - Authorised workers complete office-to-office routes for wages, with optional player-parcel transport.

Parcels and Physical Mail

  • Parcels - Send multiple item stacks with metadata and collect them at the destination office.

  • Money Orders and C.O.D. - Send in-game money orders or request payment when an item parcel is collected.

  • Returns and Receipts - Reclaim returned mail and collect physical receipts, claim slips, and return slips.

Dependencies

  • Required: vorp_core, vorp_inventory, and oxmysql 2.12.0 or newer

  • Recommended: crowe_libs, crowe_notification, crowe_society, and crowe_interactions

  • Physical Items: Register enabled paper telegram, receipt, claim, money-order slip, return-slip, and postcard items using the included inventory SQL.

Installation

  1. Back up your database and existing configuration.

  2. Place the complete crowe_telegram resource in your resources folder.

  3. Review sql/inventory_items.sql and register the physical items you enable; copy their matching PNGs from inventory_images/ to your inventory image directory.

  4. Configure config.lua, font.lua, config/postal_job.lua, and server-only webhook settings in config/server.lua.

  5. Assign postal jobs through your job system if using delivery work.

  6. Start dependencies and installed integrations first, then add ensure crowe_telegram to your server configuration.

Telegram creates its own tables automatically in your existing database. Allow normal data access plus CREATE, ALTER, and INDEX permissions. Inventory item registration remains separate; test enabled postal services before opening to players.
